FOOD TRUCK INFESTATION

We used to call them "roach coaches."  We used to think they were dodgy and vowed only to purchase individually wrapped store bought items and soda from them.  Now, ironically, the trucks are the roaches.  They swarm the streets of every major city luring people with the promise of "gourmet food" that in most cases is just the same biscuit, warmed over with new gravy.

But the shiny, colorful wrappers these bacterial fountains come in has the world fooled into believing they are worth lining up for -- and they do.  That they are worth paying more for -- and for less food!  It's gotten so ridiculously saturated that now kitsch has entered the equation.

Shouldn't this tell us the trend has traveled well past its expiration date?  Shouldn't the existence of the Grillenium Falcon truck sound the death knell for the "gourmet" food truck?

THE LIST GOES ON AND ON....
