This is one of my favorite MEMES and it's bound to continue and expand as technology gets better. This basically takes the classic animated .gif idea and hops it up. Using frames of a movie or film, a Cinemagraph can capture a unique moment, animate it or even extend it out into eternity.
Just have a look at some of these and you will start thinking of your own versions. That is the sign of a great internet MEME. This was introduced in late 2011 and spawned an iPhone App called Cinemagram.
