So, there's this show called Hillbilly Handfishin' on Animal Planet where these two "hillbillies," Skipper Bivins and Trent Jackson, take witless bucket listers into the river to handfish or "noodle" catfish from their murky mudholes.

Here's the short explanation for it.  You stick your hand into the catfish's muddy lair and when it bites down on your hand, you pull it out.  Sound like fun?  Not really, I know, but it's actually a show on Animal Planet.

I'm guessing these two nudnicks that host the show must be smarter than they look because every week, they take all number of hot chicks into the river to find them a catfish to grab onto.  Hmmm.

These are women that would never give these guys a second look, but cable television has made stars out of idiots before so I guess it's not that much of a surprise.

As you can imagine, animal rights activists are up in arms over the animal cruelty aspect of the show, but there isn't much sympathy in the world for catfish.  They are the toilet bowl of the fish world.  Bottom feeders.  Scum suckers.

I wonder how long it will take before we actually become the world envisioned by Mike Judge in the film Idiocracy?  Not too long, methinks...

  1. All you can eat fish night at theNorm's !! EWWWW!

  2. In Idaho, Mike Judd's reality has been fully implemented.

  3. Skipper is actually a relative of mine... great-uncle, third-cousin and he used to be married to my sister.
