Yes, it was cute for five minutes, but now they are everywhere. Particularly among hipsters and hipster parents living vicariously through their hipster children. It's just too much cute in one place. I can't take anyone seriously that has their hands in the mittens that are sewn into the long draping material that hangs down from the sides of the hat.
It was particularly cute and sexy on women, but now men and children are wearing them and it's completely hit the wall. The theory behind the hat is that you would choose which animal spirit or "totem" matched your inner self and the headgear was a way to express that.
